Free workshop: PHOTO POSING by @alefilizzola, as parte of the Fundamental Skills FOR BEGINNERS series facilitated by the professional photographer Alessandro Filizzola on behalf of Consonant (Migrants Resource Centre). On this workshop you will learn how to direct models, couples, group of people and also how to improve your pose when being photographed. From mobile phones to DSLRs', you are welcome to bring any digital camera you have. This is part of our series of monthly free photography workshops. Each class is designed independently from the others and you can join at any moment. Around every second Wednesday of the month we have a new class with a different topic on photography. The participation is free but we do have limited places. Book in advance to guarantee you attendance. Places are limited, register now to guarantee your attendance! To celebrate Refugee Week, Alexandra Palace, in partnership with Consonant, would like to invite people who have a history of migration or have recently migrated to the UK to work with us to put together a photo exhibition on what makes us feel at home in Haringey. Participants who would like to take part in the project will join a Photography Workshop at Alexandra Palace, delivered by Alessandro Filizzola, in order to then display their photos and tell their stories. The workshop will focus on elements of visual storytelling and composition. The pictures taken will reflect what ‘home’ means to you here in the UK. Another workshop on label writing will then take place on Wednesday 5 June from 1:30pm to 3:30pm at Alexandra Palace to help participants write the label which will accompany the display of their photos. We will select at least one photograph per each participant to be displayed.
