I have a keen interest in portraying individuals or groups of people, their places and culture, managing to capture their emotions, attitudes, lifestyle, symbols and social environment in a meaningful way. Furthermore, I’m interested in registering images with cultural sensitivity in any context, for example weddings, family portraits, social events, fashion, boudoir, nudes and photojournalism in general. Additionally, I am a qualified Graphic Designer with experience in advertisement, branding, marketing, Post-graduated in Information Science and a MBA in Environmental Management and Sustainability.
As a photographer in Brazil, I worked with the Red Cross in the Amazon Rainforest and as a cofounder in the “Know to Preserve” project where we registered the cultural and historical heritage in traditional communities as a pillar for their sustainable development (my MBA theses was based on this project). This last one was the turning point in my carreer when I’ve decided to get deeper in photography and focus my work on the portraiture art. In the UK, summing at my previous experience, I had the opportunity to teach photography and act as a documentarist photographer on behalf of different social organizations working with refugees and youth groups from deprived backgrounds among others.
